The Nibble Big 10 is Formed!

Deep in the heart of the brutal land of "Pencil-Vania", exists an immortal Coach known only as "Joe."  He looks out over the ominous mountains that surround
his valley, searching for the Coach who one day might claim his throne.  His team of Lions have dominated the land for as long as anyone can remember, besting all challengers on the Blood Bowl pitch.  But the winds of change are sweeping across these hills, and a new band of Coaches hope to stake their claim on this title... Lord of these mountains, King of the Lions!     Welcome to the Nittany Blood Bowl League (NiBBL)!

Breaking News:

Season 2: Week 3 plus Bonus Coverage

All of the week 3 matches are history, and it's time for the recap! Teams are just beginning to realize their potential now that everyone has a bit of experience on the pitch. Where will teams go from here? Who will be the next star player to rule the Blood Bowl field? Why is there a severed head sitting at my feet?!?! Keep reading to find out!

Grrr ooo.. puppie traveled to Mr. Spikey and the Gang's home turf (graveyard?) in a clash of two of the strongest teams. With the puppy eating Orcs fresh off the death of their Black Orc brother, everyone was wondering how they would stack up against the casualty causing Undead death machine. But resilience was the key to the game as the injuries were kept to a minimum. The teams brawled their way to a 1 to 1 tie. Morglum Goug'Zeye from the Grrr ooo team keeps racking up the MVPs, and the internal investigation on whether or not he has bribed game officials to secure TWO MVPs in just three games notwithstanding, everyone should watch out for this rising star! Ironically, Mr. Spikey hasn't made a single worthwhile play all year! The Undead star is clearly the extremely agile Ghoul Dr. Thadius... but "Dr. Thadius and the Gang" sounds more like a prime time medical-mystery solving drama than a proper Blood Bowl team!

The Ashen Fist returned to their winning ways by throwing the full force of their Tomb Guardians at the Villains of Yore! The home-field Khemri team were outraged to learn that the Blood Bowl field was set up on their ancient burial site and proceeded to remove every Dark Elf they could get their hands on! In fact, we are still missing 17 fans who attended the game. The Villains avoided any serious injury and only allowed one touchdown, but just couldn't keep enough players on the pitch to challenge the Fist. Final score... 1 to 0. Ama the Doubly Evil One sits atop the league lead in casualties for the Khemri, but the Dark Elf Professor Chaos has discovered an elixir of strength! Steroids may have been banned, but elixirs are fair game!

The Norse team Ba-Zerka traveled to Nurgle country for the third game of the week. The Stirland Swamps things surprised the North-men with a mix of finesse and strength, and even intercepted one of Ba-Zerka's pass attempts! But when the Beast of Nurgle was finally toppled, the Norse were able to steal the ball and turn a possible 1 to 1 tie into a 2 to 0 victory! The Nurgle side's #6 Wal-ro may be the Pestigor who seizes the role of team captain! #6 Swamp Thing jersey sales have already risen in anticipation of his first skill up! The Norse gods have been so pleased with the play of Ba-Zerka that they have granted both Rexxor and Robu von Robusan the strength of the gods!

The final game of the week saw the Woodland Rashes play host to the Dragon Horde! Despite a Lizardman blitz before the first turn, the Wood Elves snatched the ball and went from 0 to 1 touchdown in less than 5.5 seconds! The Horde answered with a touchdown of their own, and the thrilling first half ended knotted up at 1 apiece. But while the first half was all about speed, the second half proved to be about strength and toughness. The Rashes valiantly stood up to the Lizardman Sauri, but just couldn't stop the steamrolling Horde! The lizards scored twice more to win the day 3 to 1. The Wardancer Nightshade continues to be a game changer and strikes fear into opposing coaches everywhere! The Lizardman elders are so honored with the team's early season success that they have decided to send in the mighty Kroxigor King Ghidorah to join the team!

Week 4 immediately got under way when Ba-Zerka took their "gun-show" on the road to the Dark Elf arena! The frenzying Norse team forced FOUR Villains into the crowd during the early minutes of the game! The Dark Elves tried to return the favor, and forced one of the Norse warriors off as well. But Ba-Zerka now had the numbers advantage, and despite a gallant effort by the Villains, went to the half with a 1 to 0 lead. To start the second frame, the Dark Elves hit Ba-Zerka square on the jaw (literally, they actually broke a jaw!) and used a combination of speed, strength and agility to tie the match! With only a few turns left, the Villains of Yore were rewarded with a Blitz and rushed into the Norse side of the field. But gutsy play and more favor from the Norse Gods helped the Norse to secure the ball and march down the field for a 2 to 1 victory. It was an epic match that resulted in 6 injuries and yet another DEATH handed out by the brutal Norse squad! These two teams have set the pace for week 4, how will your team respond?!?!

The league calendar shows three more matches for week 4. The Dragon Horde, and King Ghidorah, will host the Stirland Swamp Things. The Beast vs. the Kroxigor! Titan against Titan!!! Then we'll get to see what happens when the two undead teams square off! Here's hoping the Khemri team and the Undead team don't decide to join forces and instead beat each other into a powder paste! Finally, the Orcs will visit the forest home of the Woodland Rashes. How will the puppy munchers fair amongst the trees?

Best of luck in week 4!
